Since I was a small child, my biggest passion has been dogs, cats, and horses. It all started with taking care of my grandparent's dogs, a German shepherd, a Poodle and a Pekingese. My grandfather was the ranger in a large park and one day he found a single duckling after the rest of the family was mauled by a fox. Who cared for the duckling? Me! Many tears rolled down my cheeks when I had to release it back to the pond.

I have been riding horses since childhood and for years trained under the tutelage of a master riding instructor. We have two purebred Arabians that I trained for the most part myself and I also trained several other horses in the classical style. I also taught several children and adults how to ride in a horse friendly classical manner including my daughter. I am a member of the Georgia Horse Council, the Arabian Horse Association, and Saddle Up Cobb. In addition, other members of our furry family are our two cats and two dogs which make our family complete. I used to work for a while in an animal clinic in Germany and worked with pets and horses since I have moved to the United States. Here I have worked in a vet clinic, taught riding lessons, trained horses and volunteered in a hypo therapy program. Now I have moved up to run my own pet sitting company and am certified nationally in pet sitting.

Hello, Beate and I started The Purrfect Nanny due to our love for animals great and small. I didn't have pets growing up, but as an adult I have realized how much fun they can be! Their unconditional love is why they are so popular. Having pets also makes me wonder sometimes why life is so complicated! They just require the basics in life and they are happy. Unlike humans who fret over so many unneeded things.

I am here to make sure all the things behind the scenes at The Purrfect Nanny go smoothly. From hiring processes, background checks, scheduling, payment handling, etc. A smoothly operating back office helps to ensure a perfect running front office. Our front office is meeting with clients and their owners. My military background is a tremendous asset to The Purrfect Nanny in this role. There are a few times when I need to care for pets too. We are a team and always do the best for our clients.

Hello, my friends and family call me the ultimate dog mom. I have three dogs, Guinness, Maggie Mae, and Arthur. Guinness is a mix of Golden Retriever and Great Dane, at 130 pounds, he is the biggest lap dog known to man. Maggie Mae is a mix of Black Lab and Chow. Arthur is a mix of Golden Lab and Beagle. My house is always active.

I have always had a great love for all animals. After years in corporate life, I decided I wanted to be able to love and care for other pets as I do my own. I believe it is important that when pet parents go away, pets need to be in their home environment and in their day-to-day routine. I take my responsibilities very seriously and the health and well-being of my furry clients is my top priority. Who does not love a job where it is acceptable to go to work covered in hair? Being part of the Purrfect Nanny team is the best job in the world!!!!!

I live in Buford with my husband, son and two dogs; Summer a German Shepherd, Zak a rescued Rottie (?) mix and two cats; Theo a big Russian Blue and our little Siamese April. I have loved and lived with animals for my entire life. Dogs and cats were part of our family at all times when I was growing up. As a small child I also had an assortment of other small animals such as Guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters etc. thanks to my very tolerant Mom. Around the age of eleven I acquired my first German Shepherd Dog and discovered that our connection deepened even further through obedience training. I have enjoyed training every one of my dogs since.

I am fascinated with the study of animal behavior, especially that of dogs. I'm intrigued with the subtle and not so subtle ways they communicate through body language and how astute they are at reading ours. I have also begun to explore the art and practice of Tellington Touch. TTouch is unique in its approach to caring for and training our companion animals. It is a very different from obedience training. I can't think of anything better than working with animals. It's something I was meant to do.

I "officially" began pet sitting in 1995 while living in New Jersey. Now that I live in Georgia I am proud to be a member of The Purrfect Nanny team. As much as I enjoy pet sitting it is a responsibility that I don't take lightly. I understand you are entrusting me with the wellbeing of your precious babies and you can rest assured that I am dedicated to providing them with the same loving care and attention I would want for my own.

Eve, Pet Sitter

Hi my name is Eve Callaway and I am here to serve you in the North Georgia area. Specifically Cumming, Dawsonville, and Gainesville.

I am a Native Atlantan and live in Cumming, Ga. with my husband, two kids, our Boston Terrier, a Bengal Cat, a rescue cat, and 2 horses (a Saddlebred gelding and a National Show Horse mare). I have always been an animal lover and have owned all sorts of pets in my lifetime. I began my love for horses by the age of 3, and was taking riding lessons by age 4. I received my very own horse as a gift when I was 9. His name was Great Oaks Dejarnette and we began showing all over the United States for many happy years. As I gained confidence and skill, I began to show other people's horses for them as well. I mostly concentrated on Morgans, Arabians, Saddlebreds, and even had a job as a teenager exercising Quarter Horse Racehorses. I never lost my love and awe for these beautiful creatures and although I no longer show, I am still very active in the horse world. I recently competed in a High Endurance Trail Challenge and had a fabulous time doing so.

Although Equine care is my first love, I am well trained in taking care of ALL of your pets, big or small. If it is horse care you need, I am available to do anything from feeding/watering, medications, light grooming, turn outs, blanketing, even exercising your horses while you are away. I can come by each day or stay at your home/farm and make sure everything is running smoothly. If you have dogs, cats, birds, "little furries", or even other farm animals, I am here to assist! My goal is to make life easier on you and your pets.

I am comfortable with any type of animal and know that giving each one the time to get to know and understand them individually is key to an wonderful foundation with Pet Sitting your cherished family member. I will go that extra mile to make sure your pet is loved and cared for while you are away. You won't have to worry about a thing. Your pet will be comfortable at home and you can rest assured they are getting the utmost care until you return. I strive to make it a seamless and easy transition for you to be away.

I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful pets

I have two dogs, a cat, and a horse, along with two young boys. My interest in animals began at a young age and has led me to undertake a masters degree in animal behavior counseling. As well as being a pet sitting nanny, I run dog-training classes and help people with their problem dogs and horses. I am originally from England and arrived in the USA five years ago when my husband was transferred to Atlanta. We bought our animals with us and even shipped my horse over here. I love trail riding and am progressing through the Parelli horsemanship program as well as competing in Endurance and Competitive Trail Riding.

Jami, Nanny

Animals have always been a big part of my life. As a child, my mother was the head care taking for the legendary Dillaway Kennels and my father trained canines for the Boston city police dept. My aunt had a small farm nearby where we cared for everything from chickens to horses. I transferred to Georgia in 1993 where I now live with the love of my life, our four children, and our two dogs, Nala and Kobe.

I have worked in animal medicine, health care, and rescue for several years. I am certified for the care of small animals, reptiles, and avians. Last year I became AKC certified in canine citizenship training. My past pets have included dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, leopard geckos, and even a snake. My home was once like a zoo but I just felt that I had to save them all. I have a deep love and respect for all animals and it has brought great joy to my life to work with them. They can bring comfort in our darkest hours. They can bring a smile on all our rainy days. They are more than pets. They are our babies and our best friends.

Kathy, Pet Sitter

Hi, I am Kathy and I live in the Woodstock area. I have recently joined the staff of The Purrfect Nanny. I have grown up with pets all my life, starting with my first cat, named “Snowball,” when I was in first grade. Ever since then, I have always had pets, including dogs and guinea pigs. I can never imagine my life without a furry companion! I currently have three cats: Patches (the oldest at 17), Ed, and Fred (a stray who walked into my house and my life one cold day in February 2008).

Before moving here in 2007 from Buffalo, NY, I owned Airedale Terriers. That is Shadow you see with me in the picture. I do not have room for a dog currently, but eventually, I will rescue one when I retire and can relax and enjoy my pets!

Krista, Nanny

Hey everyone! My name is Krista and I am originally from Nova Scotia, Canada. I have lived in various states, but now call Georgia home where I work part-time as nanny. My husband and I share our house in Kennesaw with three Chihuahuas (Monty, Gidgey, and Chuy), who are like children to us. I have been an avid pet lover for as long as I can remember. My parents were supportive, luckily, and over the years, we adopted many dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, guinea pigs, turtles, fish, rabbits, and even a few baby raccoons! I am blessed to work for The Purrfect Nanny and love all of my clients' pets as though they were my own. I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends!

Luann, Pet Sitter

Hello!  My name is Luann (Lu).  I am a pet sitter in the Kennesaw, Acworth, Woodstock and Cartersville areas.

I grew up in Minnesota, and have since lived in Chicago, Phoenix, Denver, and New Orleans.  My husband, Jerry, got a job in Georgia, so we moved here in 2006.

I have worked as an Optician and I've owned a computer repair business, but I was never satisfied working in the office environment.  I've always wanted to work with animals, so I am thrilled to be a part of this team.  Animals have been a huge part of my life.  When I was a child, my family always had dogs, and I rode and worked with horses when I could.  Since leaving home, I've had ferrets, rabbits, parrots, guinea pigs, hamsters, dogs, cats, and fish.  Of course, I'm fascinated with all animals.  Currently, we share a home with an adorable miniature dachshund, named Sofie (also pictured with me).

My husband and I have been involved with rescuing and supporting animals for quite a while.  Jerry has worked in wildlife rescue, was a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, and banded birds in Pennsylvania and Virginia.

Animals are a big part of our lives, so I know just how much you love yours.  I will show them the same love.

Mike, Pet Sitter

I am Mike Kowalski and I pet sit in the Canton area. Animals have always been a big part of my life. I do not think there has ever been a time when I did not have some sort of pet. As a child, I grew up with dogs - usually Dalmatians - cats, hamsters, turtles and snakes. Currently, I have an orange cat named Buttercup, a ball python named Leon and a family of emperor scorpions.

Shelby & Gray, Nannies

My husband and I have always had the joy of pets in our homes and lives! I was raised in the country where I had the pleasure of having three beautiful horses as neighbors, so I learned to ride bare back before I could even saddle a horse. We always had a yard full of cats and kittens that shared the space with our temperamental Chow Chow lovingly named Bear. Bear was ours from the start but the breed can be aggressive, so I learned from an early age that every animal needs its space and comfort respected; although, Bear has found on more than one occasion sleeping with a litter of kittens.

Currently our family consists of our ten-year-old fluffy black cat, Shadow; seven-year-old black and tan Chihuahua-Italian grey hound mix, Lizzie; three-year-old wolf mix, Rommel and our foster pup eight-year-old ridgeback mix Brandy. We could talk for hours about our babies, so to be brief. I already had Shadow and Lizzie when Gray and I married. Of course Lizzie claimed him from early on, and on Gray's travel for work he found Rommel. Rommel had been quite miss treated and spent several months getting used to being in a loving home. Rommel needed lots of space and quite time alone to gain his bearings but he is now quite happy joining us on the couch and riding in the car. By far our most gentle child that works well with our alpha 12 pound Lizzie. Brandy is our foster pup that we have had for nearly two years now. We are Brandy's Aunt and Uncle, and we are happy to care for her while Mom and Dad are overseas with the US Army. We too come from strong military families and all of our siblings and their spouses are military, so we are very big on schedules! We hope to meet you soon and set up a play date!

Yvonne, Pet Sitter

Hi! I’m Yvonne and I’m a proud pet sitter to your babies. I SIMPLY LOVE ANIMALS...I always have! My first pet was a silver Persian named “I’ve Got A Secret” She was show cat and extremely beautiful! My family has always had a houseful of cats and dogs. Today I share my home with my baby Ms. Mona Lisa. Mona is a precious mix of Calico and Persian. Not only is she slightly overweight...ok VERY overweight, but she can be moody and she DEFINITELY runs my household! My family has used a pet sitter for years. It eliminates those lengthy stays at a “boarding” facility, where my pets just never quite came home the same. I look forward to taking care of your babies like I would take care of my own!
