 My Dal is shedding a lot and I found that brushing her on a regular base  not only makes her fur look so much better, it keeps my house cleaner. As I was told, regular brushing is a commitment one makes when acquiring a dog. Brushing not only helps maintain the health of the skin and coat and prevent matting, it also decreases the amount of fur shed in your home. I fully agree.
