The Obamas narrow down their choices

Sunday morning, while on ABC’s ‘This Week’ with George Stephanopoulos, Barak Obama revealed that his family has narrowed their choice of dogs down to either a labradoodle or a Portuguese water dog. The Obamas plan on scouting shelters for available dogs :).
CNN currently has a poll on their front page where you can vote for which breed the Obamas should select. Of course I’m partial to the doodle!

I really hope they make the right choice for themselves and their daughters and don’t act upon public pressure. I feel getting a dog is like adopting a baby and it takes careful consideration where to get it and if a puppy or an adult dog is the better choice. What works for one does not work for another always. I feel there are way too many people out there trying to influence out new Mr. President already about his own dog.
