Amelia Kinkade

For the longest time I have the feeling I can understand more about what my animals want to communicate to me than the average horse/pet owner but not far as good as I would like to understand. A few years ago, when my horse refused to canter on one lead, but had no problem with the other side I was convinced something was wrong. The barn where I was boarding my horses back than had a highly ranked dressage trainer coming on a regular base and I needed some feedback. She actually got on my horse and came back with the result “he just does not care for the right site canter” She told me he was lazy and not willing to work. I did not go with that, I knew him better and we found out at the end that he had a very small fracture which caused him pain. Six weeks later he was cantering on both sides without any problems. Now a year ago he started acting up again and I had all kind of vets out at the barn. We evaluated his back and found he was in pain and after a week with Bute and a few weeks off he was doing better. He also had chiropractic treatments several times. To make sure it would not come from the mouth we had the teeth floated. He still ended up bucking again. It was to the point where one of those famous horse whisperers told me I better sell him to an endurance rider because those folks actually prefer fiery behavior and they put enough miles on him to cure him. OMG - my beloved horse would not leave us ever! So I had one recourse, I asked Vicky out. Vicky is a saddle fitter and so much more. She is certified massage therapist for equines and she also is certified in skeletal balancing. Had I thought about her earlier I would have saved us a lot of guess work because he simply had outgrown his saddle. That old saddle of his caused him lots of pain. Now after I bought him a wonderful fitting saddle he is the best horse again and carries my daughter trough every terrain, he canters over endless big fields, he climbs up and down hills, he crosses water – he is simply perfect. No, not totally – he does not like the arena so much, he always was more an outdoor boy but that’s something we can happily live with. Vicky is also an animal communicator. She told me a lot about my horses which I had already felt but could not put it into words. She inspired me to study and read a lot and so I ended up to buy Amelia Kinkade’s book “straight from the horse mouth”. It’s wonderful. Will I be able to communicate with animals one day as she does?? Who knows – but I’m working on it every single day. I would recommend it to everyone who wants to get even closer to their pet, horse, fish, or whatever you love. If you live in the Metro Atlanta area and need help with either your horses or pets call Vicky right away!

It is so good you did not give up on your horse!
I think a lot of times we as pet owners understand our pets better than the professionals. We are privy to their everyday personalities.
I’m so glad you followed your instincts as an awesome pet owner!
